Meow! My name is Ophelia. I am a beautiful girl, but don’t let my looks fool you. I’ll be honest, I’m not the easiest cat to share an office with. I was surrendered by my family who described me as sweet, with a touch of crazy. That is exactly what I am. When I first came to Five Acres I was very angry. Just the sight and smell of other cats set me off and I didn’t want to be bothered by anyone. My friends moved me into an office to see how I’d adjust. I am doing so much better, but all the different people that stop by to see me, the smells and the dogs barking still stresses me out. When it’s quiet around the shelter and the dogs are down for their nap I like to lay in my bed by the window and enjoy the sunshine and birds flying by outside. I have bonded with my office buddy and I like to play with her, I love when she brushes me and I like to greet her every morning by rubbing on her ankles. My favorite toy is a rubber bracelet and I love to pounce on it and roll around with it. I need a special home that is quiet, stress free, kid and animal free and I promise I will be a sweet companion. I try to act big and tough, but I can really be sweet and silly after I warm up to you. I need a patient owner that is willing to give me time to adjust and blossom. It could take several weeks for me to feel comfortable enough to open up and show you my personality.
I am declawed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.
