18th Annual Trails for Tails Recap

On September 11th, 2016 we hosted our 18th annual Trails for Tails event along the beautiful Missouri Riverfront in Frontier Park, St. Charles. This event started many years ago as a small fundraiser to gather pet lovers and their furry friends to walk and raise awareness for shelter animals. It has now grown to a huge 5K, 10K and 1 mile walk that also includes vendors. This year we had over 50 participating vendors that included everything from pet stores, gyms, a pet photo booth, restaurants and more! Not only was this year our largest year for vendors but we also had the most runners and walkers we’ve ever had with a whopping 712 participants. Many of these people brought their furry best friends, so you can imagine the atmosphere in the park. We were blessed with a beautiful and mild sunny day, hundreds of smiling faces and wagging tails and thousands of dollars were raised for the adoptable cats and dogs at Five Acres Animal Shelter. We even had a very determined vendor rush to Five Acres down the road from the park to fill out an adoption application for a dog they fell in love with at the event. And the rest is history. It was a match made in Trails for Tails heaven!

The 19th annual Trails for Tails is on the calendar, so mark yours for Sunday, September 10th 2017. Join us and help us make it yet another record breaking year for this awesome event!
